Are you a first responder agency or individual seeking support? At the Public Safety Action Committee, we collaborate with communities in various ways to provide assistance. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides free, private support. It's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone who is depressed, going through a hard time, needs to talk or is thinking about hurting themself can get help. The Lifeline is available to everyone—you can call for yourself or a loved one who may need crisis support.

 

Connect with a counselor who will listen, offer support and provide resources nearby: Call 988 or (800) 273-8255

For the Veterans Crisis Line, press 1.

For support in Spanish, press 2. (Para español, oprima dos.)

Everyone else, stay on the line or press 0. You will be connected with a caring and qualified counselor ready to support you.

NC 211 is a free, confidential, and multilingual health and human services information and referral system, available 24 hours a day in all 100 North Carolina counties. Managed by United Way of North Carolina and supported by many local United Ways across the state, NC 211 has continuously gained recognition as a trusted resource in the State and serves as a key member of the State Emergency Response Team.
